Hofesh Shechter Company
Hofesh Shechter is fast becoming recognised as one of the most exciting choreographers working in the UK. Hofesh Shechter Company is a Brighton Dome & Festival resident company.
His first show to be presented at Brighton Dome was the 2008 double bill Uprising / In your rooms, described by The Observer as “probably the most important new dance work to be created in Britain since the millennium.”
For the 2009 Festival, he presented a 20-minute piece for the female dancers in his company entitled The Art of Not Looking Back, and in the same year delivered Bangers and Mash, a youth community project with over 100 young dancers and musicians.
Political Mother - his first full-length work – premiered at Brighton Festival 2010.
